By I don’t know whose idea it was for Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak to join together to form Silk Sonic, but whoever it was deserves a lifetime supply of happiness and blessings.
Everyone knows what Bruno is about because he’s been a big star for a while now. However, it’s nice to see Anderson getting all this love, as I think he’s one of the most gifted artists of this generation and was a little underappreciated before Silk Sonic.
On their new single ‘Smokin Out The Window’ the duo gracefully put us in a trance yet again. The production of the songs that have come off the album so far has been incredible. They have captured the authentic old-school soulful R&B / Jazz sound, with their own twist on things. They even add some comedic lines and actions while still sounding exceptional. The video is a must-watch! The song is all about the stresses some women put men through. No matter how much you do for them, it never seems to be enough.
In the end, Bruno and Anderson conclude that she’s not worth all the stress, as the girl belongs to the city. I guess it’s a case of from the streets she came from to the streets she shall return. Check out the incredible ‘Smokin Out The Window’ song below.
